Dr. Armen A. Shahbazian, M.D.

Armen A. Shahbazian, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist with over 30 years of experience in radiation oncology with a special emphasis on radiation implantation (brachytherapy). He is a Fellow of both the American College of Radiation Oncology and the American College of Radiology. Dr. Shahbazian has lectured to medical and professional groups throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

He is a respected authority on radiation oncology, brachytherapy procedures (the application of radioactive material directly to the tumor for a specific amount of time), and hyperthermia (raising the temperature of the treated site to enhance the effectiveness of the radiation). He is active in many professional organizations.

Dr. Shahbazian is the owner and director of Pacific Radiation Oncology Center (PROC), freestanding Radiation oncology center, where he has practiced since its inception in 1984.

At Pacific Radiation Oncology Center, he performs external beam irradiation, as well as interstitial and external hypothermia. Dr. Shahbazian is best known for his abilities in implant radiation oncologist performing Brachytherapy today.

Dr. Birbhal Bhaskar, M.D.

As co-founder of Medical Oncology Care Associates, Dr. Bhaskar completed his Bachelor's Degree in 1969 at the University of Rajasthan Medical School in Bikaner, India. Dr. Bhaskar fulfilled his residency training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and West Virginia University Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. Dr. Bhaskar serves as Principal Investigator for a number of clinical trials and has chaired numerous Tumor Boards and Cancer Committees.
